MyCaptcha not showing up

Anonymous — Fri, 20/07/2007 - 03:07

I first tried with the drupal captcha and it did not show up at all. I disabled drupal captcha and text image modules and then downloaded MyCaptcha and form store. I enabled the modules and settings, still no luck, MyCaptcha does not show up either. Anything you can suggest? I am using latest version of drupal 5.

Can you please provide more details? For instance, which form, which captcha type?

For images, both GD and the FreeType library are necessary.

Hi Heine,

Thanks for the reply. This is my first drupal site and I have no programming knowlege, so bear with me. I downloaded the freetype library from the link on your site, where do I put it and what do I do with it? I don't know anything about GD, where do I get it and what to do with it. I disabled the captcha and text image modules from the drupal site. Is that enough or do I need to remove their folders from the server?

Here is what I am running:
Drupal 5.1
Operating system Linux
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PERL version 5.8.8
PHP version 4.4.7
MySQL version 4.1.21
cPanel Build 10.9.1
cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC36)

My Apologies

John (not verified) — Fri, 20/07/2007 - 17:24

Hi Heine,

My Apologies, your software works great without anything needing to be added on. I had not used the form store to collect forms, so they were not available in mycaptcha. I do have something to add to the wish list though, I have a shout box form in a side menu and the captcha is too big and sticks out. It would be nice to be able to control the size of the captcha.

Thanks,

John

No need to apologize. I'm glad it is working for you. I agree that controlling the size would be a nice feature to have.
